Welcome to Spirit Wednesday where we take a look at all things spiritual from meditation to prayer to cleaning the house. Yes, even house work can be a spiritual experience… if you choose to see it that way.
Maybe it’s just because I’m a writer (or maybe I was a cat in a former life :D), but I have an insatiable curiosity.
After reading The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown I had to know more about the Fibonacci Sequence. What I found surprised me. Not only was it a real thing, but apparently many people call it “the fingerprint of God.” After watching the video below, I believe those people may be onto something.
Later my husband mentioned a young man who had studied the Fibonacci Sequence in relation to trees and built a solar power collector based on his findings. It wasn’t until later that I read Aidan Dwyer’s own account of his experiment.
All I can say is, “Amazing!”
Apparently solar panels placed on a “tree” using the Fibonacci Sequence will collect more energy than those placed on a traditional flat panel at a 45 degree angle. Once again God teaches us how to effectively use what we’ve been given without damaging creation.
Since then I’ve decided to use the Fibonacci Sequence in my WIP, Apprentice Cat, as part of it’s mystery. Who knows? Maybe putting the “the fingerprint of God” into the words of my own work will be a blessing. Even if it isn’t a direct blessing by the Almighty, at least it’s a neat addition to the story. 🙂
Have you ever heard/read/seen something that piqued your curiosity? What did you do with the information you gained?
